A new year A new plan

Well that's the idea. Last year I had virtually no time for my self or my lovely man. It was all about the jewellery. Being obsessive is not all it's cracked up to be. So my New Year's plan (we stopped resolutions years ago - when they stopped working) is to get a much better work life balance.
My first plan of action has been to take off most of the custom pieces from my site and shop, if it's made it's for sale, if it's not made, it's not for sale.
The relief I feel knowing that when that bing bong for a sale comes in that its something that is already made is incredible.
What I am hoping, is to get a bit of my life back, to be able to relax a bit, get back to creating - what I want to create, and get back to being a bit more regular with my blog.
7 or so years ago I did a journalist course. The reason I did the course is because I love writing - I decided again getting a job in journalism for many reasons, but the love of writing is still there and I miss coming here and blathering away.

Blogging

Blogging? well what do you write about? I know for myself I find it quite difficult sometimes to come up with new things to put down, however, I decided that I would try and go through A to Z as the title, and that might give me some inspiration. Problem is what? Blogs? Beading? Blatant Copying? Beating the system? Bloody website?

So, todays will be about blogging, because I have been trying out both word press and blogger and come to the conclusion that I prefer blogger. However further than that, I also decided that for my website it would look better to have a blog that was directly linked to the web rather than a link coming over here. I read somewhere it was better and have to agree. So now any new things that happen on my site, new products, new services etc gets put on my news feed blog directly linked. So this is independent really, which means I can just whinge, moan or generally gossip -sounds like my kind of place ;-)

The life and times of an obsessive!

So I have been busy beavering away, feeling really happy. Lovely bits and pieces around me and for once a nice bit of time to design. If only that was all there was to it. So today, all I have done from 10 this morning is photo related stuff. Started off taking the pics, then uploading them. My computer memory is rather full so started going slow - very frustrating. Then comes cropping and adjusting. Then uploading to etsy, having converted the prices first. That's very time consuming - writing the descriptions, tags and waiting again for the pics to upload. Then over to paypal to make the buttons for my site, then over to picture trail to upload the pics there for my site. In between catching up with twitter, facebook and hotmail, and the odd forum or six. And here I am at 2 am writing on my blog! So here is what I have been working on today.
